Returning from the spiritual battlefield that is San Francisco, and rising up from the ashes of last semester, Nick and Eric team up again to record the Nick and Rick Christmas Special. In this slow to start but quickly very spicy episode, we observe the real causes of the political troubles that are happening in the United States, and look at why they have come to be. Not to their surprise, they find that a lot of it has to do with society, and they ponder the ways in which Catholics and other Christians can transform and cultivate society so that both our culture and government can once again bear good fruit.
In this episode we discuss Pope Francis's words on civil unions in a documentary that has come out within the past month and some ways we can best respond to his words.
Nick and Eric go over how the challenge new social environments are opportunities to be more authentic and whole, both for ourselves and for others.
In this episode Tomer and Eric go over several ways that Catholicism fulfills Judaism, particularly in the rituals of the mass, the Virgin Mary, the Pope, and most importantly, the Eucharist.
Extremely blessed to be able to interview and share my friend's unique conversion story with you all. Tomer explains how he came to the Church from an Israeli-Jewish background through a trip to Israel, his friends, and even a protestant pastor's sermon.
In this episode we look at how relativism has permeated into our society and how it prevents us from living authentic and fulfilling lives. We also look at how relativism prevents us from truly loving the other, and why then true love is rooted in truth.
Part 2 on the series Knowing and Defending Our Faith! In this episode we hear some personal examples of how we've encountered relativism in our own lives, and how we've come to accept the teachings of our faith despite peer pressure or a lack of understanding.
In this episode we look into the importance of our Catholic Doctrine, why we accept Catholic teaching, and why it is critical that we defend, share, and learn Catholic Doctrine and teaching. We go over, and will go over, some challenges and ideologies that we may face as Catholics in living out our beliefs in contrast to the ideas of the secular world.
In the past weeks there have been attacks and threats made on churches in the west and in our own USA. Statues of saints have been defaced and torn down, either out of rage, misinformation, or to propagate a secular agenda. As Catholics we are called to defend our faith, that includes our history, our theology, our churches, and our sacred images and statues. In this episode we go over these attacks, why they're important, and what we as Catholics need and should do in response. This is also our 10th episode, so thank you all so much for listening! There is more to come!
In this episode we go over the different levels of friendship, the importance of being genuine in friendships, and why you should not persist in bad friendships.
