The sport of tennis puts a unique set of demands on both a player's body and mind. In this week's episode, we break down those demands with strength and conditioning coach Nick Berger along with discussing how to train tennis players accordingly, coaching philosophies and more!

Nick and I grew up childhood best friends and doubles partners. Nick went on to attend college at Cal Poly SLO where he received an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. He continued to pursue higher education and got a Master's degree in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition from Cal State Long Beach. He worked with Velocity Sports Performance as a Sports Performance Director and helped execute an NFL Combine Training Camp for the 2011 NFL Draft class that included Von Miller, Nate Solder and Ryan Kerrigan among others. He currently teaches a number of Kinesiology classes at three different universities in Orange County, California.
