Boomer Sooner! University of Oklahoma Men's Tennis head coach Nick Crowell talks about Baker Mayfield, how to create a successful college tennis team culture, developing junior tennis players, how kids can find the perfect college tennis team for them and more!

I got the opportunity to learn from Coach Crowell in my time at Florida State University. He was the Associate Head Coach while I was an Assistant Coach and we also ran the Seminole High Performance Junior Tennis Academy together. In that short time together he quickly became one of my most important coaching mentors.

During his first season at the University of Oklahoma he led his doubles team of Spencer Papa and Andrew Harris to the NCAA Individual Doubles title, the first in OU's school history. In his 13 years at Florida State the men's team reached the NCAA Tournament every season, earning him the Southeast Region Assistant Coach of the Year. He was also awarded the USTA Florida Junior Coach of the Year after leading the USTA Florida section's Under-18 team to a National Championship.
