This week, Taylor and Angelika are joined by Nicky Stimpson. Nicky has a long history of athletics from her experiences as being the rowing and swimming team captains at Washington College. Nick has since been coaching the Naval Academy rowing team for about 13 years and now has taken up stand-up paddleboarding or SUP racing while participating in numerous competitions and races for a variety of causes including charities for autism. In this episode, Nicky, Taylor, and Angelika discuss many topics including how Nicky got into paddle boarding, upcoming race details, diets, the importance of having a support system, post-race recovery, and more. Nicky’s next big race will be a “Bay Paddle '' in August where she will paddle the entire length of the Chesapeake Bay, which is just about 200 miles.
