You are created in the image of your father and He has put power into your tongue, you are painting your tomorrow with your words today.

Your understanding of God has to come from your intimacy with him. This is what sets Christianity apart from every other religion. If our understanding of God doesn’t come from intimacy, it will come solely from our own intellect. One is self reliant the other completely God reliant. Intimacy requires surrender to the unknown, but it’s by this very intimacy with God that we learn to trust where He leads even when we don’t understand it and we’ll have the faith and trust to follow Him into the greater, the new and the yet unseen.

What we believe has impact on how we live our lives and how we build nations. If we are going to have faith for the future, we need to know our story well, that His purpose is, has been, and always will be to extend the Kingdom over all the earth. 

There is a heaviness of despair and fear that settles over the very people that are meant to be carrying light and faith to the world. When you see someone who has been abundantly blessed, it points to the fact that there is more available to you, not less. That is the difference between an abundance mindset and a scarcity mindset.

Jess and Heids have been reflecting on the power of testimonies. In Gen 26, we see a story of jealousy, quarrel and accusation over the wells of blessing Isaac dug. We have all had wells that have been shut down, stollen and barred from us, but how do we press on to find "Rehoboth" meaning "broad places" and dig our wells there?

We have a choice to live by one these two wisdoms, the Spirit of God or the spirit of this world. One  mindset operates out of self, and the other an unlimited God and both have enormous consequences.
