The Plateau state government has through the Executive Order 001, placed a suspension on all mining activities for various reasons including child labor, security concerns and environmental degradation among others. But the federal government has come out to say that all such issues related to mining and its regulations are under the control of the Federal Government.
Do you see this as being insensitive to the peculiar challenges of Plateau state or it is a lack of understanding about the real issues that should be resolved?
