According to the League, its newly-elected National Executive Committee represents a good inter-generational as well as demographic mix, but is it relevant, is it necessary or will it be impactful?

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme is a South African government student financial aid scheme which provides financial aid to undergraduate students to help pay for the cost of their tertiary education after finishing high school. It is funded by the Department of Higher Education and Training.

South Africa's Department of Health gazetted the draft Regulations relating to the labelling and advertising of food in January 2023 and the document is available for public comment.The regulations propose the mandatory use of warning labels on unhealthy packaged food. Consumers have until Friday 21 July to submit their comments.  The Healthy Living Alliance (HEALA), a civil society organisation advocating for equitable access to affordable, nutritious food in South Africa by building a more just food system.
