The Constitutional Court has found that President Cyril Ramaphosa had nothing to gain by suspending the Public Protector Advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane because an investigation into the Phala Phala saga continued in her absence.
This follows the Western Cape High Court's order, declaring her suspension invalid. Ramaphosa suspended Mkhwebane in June last year. Also, the Constitutional Court has dismissed with costs the application by Correctional Services for leave to appeal against a Supreme Court of Appeal ruling regarding former President Jacob Zuma's medical parole.sentence at the Estcourt Correctional Facility in Kwa-Zulu Natal.
