Dr. Bob Hieronimus sits down with two historians on the radio storyteller Jean Shepherd, author of “A Christmas Story”.  Many folks watch the nostalgic movie every year with their family and laugh at the triple-dog-dare story of the tongue freezing to the flag pole, and the pink bunny suit as a present from a distant aunt, and the big prize won by the old man that was the leg lamp.  Most people do not realize that the narrator and author of this beloved movie wrote several other books and films that were even better, and hundreds of articles, and all this after a long story-telling career on WOR in New York.  Fans of Jean Shepherd remain loyal to this day charmed by his unique style and amazing ability to spin long detailed stories  on mundane topics making them the most fascinating thing you heard all day. 

Hour one of this two-hour tribute features guest Jeff Clavin, the operator of a website called flicklives.com, talking about biography of Jean Shepherd and the facts of where he was when, etc.  Second guest is Jeff Beauchamp talking about the historical archive of Shepherd’s radio programs archived on mp3, a free exchange service.

Hour two of this two-hour tribute features guest Eugene Bergmann, author of the upcoming book, Excelsior, You Fathead: the Art of Jean Sheppherd, a book to be released in the fall of 2004, which include interviews with the people who worked with Shepherd and others who were influenced by him.  Second guest this hour is Max Schmid, talking about Shepherd’s films and radio programs for sale on video and audio cassette, plus Max’s own Old Time Radio program “Mass Backwards”.

In simple terms, what we do as house healers is to use dowsing to highlight detrimental aspects that are present in a house or place of work be they geo-or electromagnetic interference or natural emanations from underground water flows. For 30 years starting in 1983, Tim Walter worked as a successful corporate video writer, director and producer. However, in the early 2000’s, his interest in the stressful deadline driven corporate world had started to wane because his life had radically changed perspective. The family had moved house in 1998 and discovered where they now lived contained a ghost. This personality was a delightful caring soul that the family spoke to using dowsing. She introduced Tim to the concept of “earth energy” which eventually led him to establish a network of international house healers. These are Highly Sensitive People who help others by communicating with the over-seeing subtle energy fields of our existence. Once aligned with this simple ancient process of focused intention and positive heart resonance, we can ride the waves of great change.
