OSCAR HAWK

"Oscar Hawk is a DJ / Producer / Electronic music enthusiast living in the southern part of the nordic country Finland. He has been a true fan of the electronic music scene ever since the early days of house in the late 80’s.

Oscar Hawk started performing as a DJ in 2018 and began producing his own tunes in 2019. For Oscar Hawk it’s all about the inner atmosphere, the harmonic melodies and the good vibes that makes the soul of a track.

MAQ hailing from New Delhi India, started as a bedroom producer in late 2019. His big break came when he released "Destruction" on Musata Music, which was #51 on Beatport's Bigroom Top 100 charts in 2020 and #11 on Beatport's Best New Big Room: August 2020

Then came his track on Restate Records on 2021 called "Dance Of The Galaxies" which recieved support from legendary remixers and mash-up duo's DJs From Mars!

Since March 2020, all of the festivals were postponed and the lockdown was initiated. Every single weekend became different….. Not a single activity in the venues or outdoors….. It is a whole different ballgame…..

To keep the festival atmosphere alive, Flash Sphere initiated a concept, giving the festival lovers the opportunity to turn their own place into a rave floor --- For 24 hours --- A combination that you can still rave during the lockdown(s)…… That’s when “RaveLock” was born on January 9th, 2021.

After a successful first edition, he thought it was also time that RaveLock needed it’s first official 2021 anthem.

During this pandemic, we need to survive together, keeping all of our hopes high, be there for each other & raving together In a way that we can still see everyone….. digitally using a so called ‘Virtual DanceFloor’ with Zoom & 2 days before the 2nd edition on February 20th, the official anthem was born, called ‘Act Of Survival’.

To mix things up a little we employed US2 back to the remixing duties with their own Future House take on it and it is equally spectacular.

This EP is made and dedicated to the classic movies from the 80's and 90's. Oldschool progressive and trance. Not too many elements in the track, like nowadays, but the melodies speaking for itself! -Guido Hermans-
