Artist Bio - Olawale Ahmed Oguntoyinbo (born july 26 1990) known professionally as Emem G is a Nigerian Singer and song writer, he is from ogun state,ifo local gov. Emem g's style of music is afropop with fusion of rand b he sings with pidgin language. He started his career at the age of 16 doing cover songs but he started going to the studio and writing his own songs at 18, he was inspired by great musical icons like Micheal Jackson, fela anikulapo kuti,2face wandecoal and wizkid. He went to his primary school at ifo ogun state, had his secondary school at Lagos state at hopebay college Okokomaiko Lagos, and later enrolled at yaba college of technology were he did Estate management. Emem g can also play musical instruments which enabled him develop his musical skills more. Unlike all Nigerian stars that started music from the church, he was raised by a Muslim parent so he didn’t have a chance to join the choir, but his love for music kept him going, he started performing in street carnivals and clubs. Emem g has no record deal at the moment but was discovered by an American Music marketer who offered him a management deal and his afropop songs are enjoying massive air play in both Africa and America.
