Nile and Gerry Tea

y'all wrote this one.

with ur questions.

Nile and Gerry both have their reasons for engaging with magic less and differently than they used to.

We all change the way we speak depending on who we are speaking to and what the context of the situation is. This is called code switching.

This week, Ger-Bear and Nile-Nile-Crocodile examine whether or not code switching is a thing we do when playing magic. And if so, when is the appropriate time to do so?

Have you been doing this correctly? Do you feel like this is an area where you can improve?

Lordy lordy, look who's forty. And by forty, of course I mean "deeply passionate about game design". And by look who, I mean "Nile and Gerry are deeply passionate about game design".

Tune in and drop out to listen to Nile-Nile-Crocodile and Ger-Bear talk about their respective histories with game design, how it impacts mtg, and how you can start getting into it!

This week Ger-Bear weaponizes his decades of testing team experience and Nile wields her days of testing team observations to talk about what is wrong with testing teams in magic, and which teams are doin it right (shout out daft punk).

This week's tea is a unique one because Ger-Bear gives Nile the opportunity to ask him anything! If you've ever wanted to know the answers to such questions as:

Does Gerry believe in ghosts?

Has Gerry ever been in love?

Is Gerry a fairy or a goblin?

Then this is the episode for you!

The tea this week is steeped in accountability. That is, holding people who suck accountable for their actions. This is something that doesn't happen often enough in this space, and often due to the fact that the person in question just happens to be a good magic player.

Ger-bear talks about some specific ancient examples of this, and we go into how we as a community can do and be better.
