Technically it wasn’t Frisco, it was London and it wasn’t a disco, it was a Roxy Music gig.  Nile Rodgers was inspired to reconnect with an old bandmate, Bernard Edwards, who was back in New York and start his own smooth and classy funk group. That group was Chic and 40 years later, Nile Rodgers is still making number one songs.
