With Daffodil Day just passed, science correspondent Cushla McGoverin joins Kathryn to look at what's happening with cancer research. She starts with a look at why younger people are getting cancers that used to be associated with old age. She'll also talk about how MRNA vaccines are being used to personalise cancer treatments, and look at some of the new cancer research and start ups in New Zealand. Cushla McGoverin is a senior research fellow within the Department of Physics at the University of Auckland, and Principal Investigator in Te Whai Ao - Dodd-Walls Centre for Photonic and Quantum Technologies.
