Scary to some with the Steve Martin's Woody Allen inspired "L.A. Story" and Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris". Scary to the rest for featuring Lucio Fulci's "The New York Ripper". "Out of the Dark" represents Colombia and "It's My Party and I'll Die If I Want To" stands up for Pittsburgh.

Jeff Goldblum + Geena Davis + Jim Carrey = A great way to beat the monotony of shallow, capitalistic existence. CoolMoviesDarth was his standard dower self going into the weekend while ThePoeticCritic was sour about the lack of cool guests going into the Chicago Con season. Needing summer to start now, CM Darth turned to an 80's camp classic he just never got around to, "Earth Girls Are Easy". TPC just happens to offer some of the best insights into this Julie Brown vanity project.

Cats and pandas come to the rescue this week on NinetyForChill.com. "Turning Red" was released to physical media this week, so Cool Movies Darth found that we have a Pixar movie with the ideal runtime. That amused him for one night, but the greatest amusement may have been discovering "Red Dwarf XIII" was a TV movie. Enjoy this homage to the commonwealth and forgive his fandom that he may mistake for cultural knowledge.

Kodiak Thompson returns to offer up his insight about another horror comedy, Travis Betz's "Lo" from 2009. This romantic tale is all charm with a sense of humor that is akin to "John Dies at the End". It is like "Evil Dead" except the demons are more concerned with spouting and mocking philosophies instead of swallowing souls.

Cool Movie Darth has finally attended Ebertfest when he saw the Terry Zwigoff and Thora Birch hosted screening of "Ghost World". It may have only been to one of the 13 shows, but this is a movie that has an important place in his life, regardless of the extra 20 minutes. He does his best to describe the experience to his big sister, ThePoeticCritic, perhaps to distract her from the remaining month of cinema lacking Jeff Goldblum.

Well, life happens, and this week's scheduled interview fell through. Fortunately, Ally's Accessories Shop on Etsy has provided Cool Movies Darth with plenty of films and inspiration. This week, "NinetyForChill.com: The #Podcast" catches up with five of those features: "Gothika", "Hawk's Vengeance", "Invitation to a Suicide", "Juno", and "King of California".

Cool Movies Darth addresses Sony's most important feature of Winter 2021, "Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City". You may dispute this claim, but "Spider-Man: No Way Home" was really a Disney movie. Reimagining narrative video games and creating an action-packed, scare-light versions of Universal Picture's horror icons has been Sony's bread and butter since 2002. After 20 years of this, it is time to start repainting their established IP.

Cool Movies Darth goes back to HBO after 7pm in the 1980's to pay tribute to Sylvester Stallone. His films with the Cannon Group ("Cobra" and "Over the Top") serve as an excellent summation of the fun that studio provided neglectful Baby Boomer and their children. And NinetyForChill.com will dedicate itself to show why you should never overlook a Rutger Hauer feature, so "Nighthawks" makes this trifecta of Sly.

Gregory Carl returns to NinetyForChill.com: The #Podcast to critique the movie that established the equation of Rutger Hauer + Action Gimmick = Low Brow Gold. 1989's "Blind Fury" was an early 90s' basic cable Cubs/Braves rain delay stand by. A blind sword-swinging Hauer vs. Randle "Tex" Cobb screams entertainment. Why would you want to see the Cubs be the Cubs when the game resumed?

"Sportz Ballz" host Tim Loss (pardon calling him Timothy in the hasty intro) comes on to the podcast to discuss a film that had a seminal influence on his life, "Roadside Prophets". He and Cool Movies Darth nearly spend two hours discussing what would be Generation X's "Easy Rider". It is a mellow suggestion that the counter culture and cheeky nihilism could save the USA from itself. We would have at least been in a better place to handle 9-11.
