No Alarms Club

It's okay to pursue many different things before we settle on something to grow into a career. Every skill we pick up now will help us in the future.

People are going to tell us that we can't pursue our passion. They are wrong.

Overlapping is when you work a day job to pay your bills and then spend your extra time working on another craft with the goal of making it your next full time job.

"In order to be found, you have to be findable." - Austin Kleon in Real Artists Don't Starve by Jeff Goins

Stressing over money will kill our passion for making art. We must make money to make art.

"For better or for worse, I am really interested in a lot of different things, and trying things out myself to see what it's like to actually experience producing media or other things is always interesting." - Mark Frauenfelder in Jeff Goins' book Real Artists Don't Starve

When we own our work, we maintain control.

No one successful is out here working alone, in any field. If we want to be successful in our fields, we need to collaborate with others.

"Without a network, creative work does not succeed." - Jeff Goins, Real Artists Don't Starve
