No Clue Movie Reviews

Grab your heavy metal records and check your backyard... there’s a portal to Hell in the yard! 🎸 👿

This week on No Clue Movie Reviews, Malcolm and Jay are digging into Tibor Takács’ 1987 cult classic The Gate starring a young Stephen Dorff!

Before modern PG-13 horror played it safe, this 80s nightmare machine served up terrifying stop-motion minions, eye-in-the-hand body horror, demonic backmasking, and a giant multi-limbed demon lord—all inside a suburban house. We break down Randall William Cook’s incredible practical visual effects, the nostalgic kid-adventure vibe, and whether this gateway horror flick still delivers real nightmare fuel.

Play the record backward, grab an album sleeve, and hang out with us for another review!
