    This No Cover special highlights the 5th annual Battle of the Bands, presented by KCSU FM and RAMEvents. This staple live music event brought us sets from 4 fantastic CSU bands: Midriff, Kevin?, Any Means Necessary, and Boy Sorority. This bill ranged from rock & roll to indie and hardcore punk, all on the Lory Student Center's Sutherland Gardens. We're excited to bring you a taste of their performances, along with conversations with members of the bands themselves.

  • Pall Mall Jesus: No Cover Local Session

    Slacker folk duo Pall Mall Jesus kicks off the Fall 2026 No Cover season with an appearance in the KCSU studio. Excited to show off some of their songs from their first studio album, “With the Beetles,” released earlier this year. The recording blended an acoustic sound, personal introspection, and an infectious energy.  They kept the energy going when KCSU's Ashley Crouch chatted with the duo about how their writing process has evolved since the band's roots.

    All Sales Vinyl and FoCoMA graciously invited CTV’s No Cover crew to cover a handful of sets during day 2 of the 18th annual FoCoMX festival; the first of these performances is Anthony Arras & the MTB, a twangy alternative rock outfit led by the titular Anthony Arras, a local artist with a decade of experience in the Fort Collins music scene.

  • Lounge Drugs: No Cover Local Session

    For our last No Cover episode of the school year, we invited the Fort Collins psych rock project Lounge Drugs into the KCSU studio. Jay LeCavalier and his band filled the room with distorted guitar, nimble rhythm, and some inspiring melodies on the recorder. Lounge Drugs' surreal interview includes some favorite Fort Collins artists, a rundown on Jay's motivations as a musician, and an upcoming release.
