This week Keith and Cole cover what has happened over the course of week 1 on the clay at Roland Garros. Have these crowds been the worst of any major event we've seen? A strange doubles disqualification was a hot topic as well!

The time has come! The end of the clay court season ends in Paris with the French Open! With no Nadal or Federer for the first time since 1998, the draw is pretty open on the Men's side. Djokovic should have as good a chance as ever to take home his 3rd French Open title. The Big 3 on the women's side, Swiatek, Sabalenka and Rybakina, are looking to get a leg up on each other with a grand slam victory!

This week Keith and Freddy recapped the Rome Masters where Medvedev captures his first clay court title, dancing his way to victory over Tsitsipas and Rune en route to the title! Rybakina took out Iga Swiatek on the road to her victory! Nadal announced he is not going to be competing in the French Open and will most likely be hanging up the racquets at the end of the 2024 season. Wow.

It's midweek in Rome which means the tournament is just starting to heat up! Lots of rain has been the story of the first few days, but they have still been able to get most of the tennis in on schedule! Alcaraz bowed out today to the 135th ranked player in the world, Sabalenka lost early in the women's draw, and only Keith's picks are still alive for the title! Interview this week is with Erin Donnelly who is the Social Media Director for Top Court. She is currently in Rome for the event this week and shares a lot of her experiences and touches on the different features within Top Court as well!

Alcaraz and Sabalenka get their birthday cakes and eat them too! Lot's of drama surrounded the size of Alcaraz birthday cake compared to that of Sabalenka...

Aside from all of the cake controversy, both Alcaraz and Sabalenka won in 3 sets. The tennis was great all around. On the men's side, lots of surprises throughout the draw! Zhang became the fist Chinese man into the Quarterfinals of a Masters 1000. Struff was the first Lucky Loser to make a Masters 1000 final, reaching a career high of 28 in the world. The tour shifts to Rome at the Foro Italico for another Masters 1000 event!

This week NML gives a brief mid-tournament update from the Mutua Madrid Open, Masters 1000. Alcaraz is looking phenomenal, setting up a huge matchup with Zverev, who has cruised into the R16. Are you having trouble with knowing the difference between a few players when you watch on TV? So are we! Hopefully one day these guys will stop wearing the same 1 or 2 shirts so they don't look identical on the court. Fan favorite (hah), Holger Rune, was center of some drama again in a match with Davidovich Fokina. This time, we don't fault Holger too much for the chaos that ensued on center court in Madrid. Keith goes in on chair umpires across the tour after witnessing, yet again, more mistakes and mismanagement of atmosphere.

This week, the guys talk about the WTA 500 event in Stuttgart where a loaded draw featured yet again a final with Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka. The WTA is also talking about restricting any top 30 player from competing in a WTA 250 event. On the ATP Tour, the draw in Bosnia was stacked with members of the Serbian Davis cup team, with Dusan Lajovic defeating his teammates, Krajinovic, Djokovic and Kecmanovic on the way to the final vs. Rublev. In Munich, Holger Rune took down Botic Van de Zansdchulp while saving several match points. The BMW Open gives out a car to the champion but I am not sure Holger even has a drivers license... Lastly, in Barcelona, Carlos Alcaraz defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas to win the ATP 500 title in his home country. Both tours head to Madrid for a Masters 1000 week!

Andrey Rublev wins Monte Carlo in a comeback victory over Holger Rune. Rune was the center of attention this week for a variety of reasons. His ability to make a crowd dislike him is unmatched, eerily similar to a young Djokovic. Medvedev and Zverev exchange a few words in their post match pressers, as well as Tsitsipas and Fritz with a little back and forth! We are here for it!

The tours made stops in Bogota, Charleston, Houston, Marrakech and Estoril this past week! Cole and Freddy roll through the weeks results and get things set up for a week ahead in Monte Carlo, Monaco! The Masters 1000 kicked off on Sunday! The Women are competing in the Billy Jean King Cup this week before they go full steam ahead into the clay court season!

The guys talk about the rest of the Miami open: Kvitova beating Rybakina, Medvedev taking down Sinner, Alcaraz looking solid. On the women's side, Rybakina, Swiatek and Sabalenka have started to pull themselves above the rest of the WTA and continue to dominate the tour. Medvedev has only lost 1 match in the last 6 weeks. Wow. What will all of this mean as we head into the clay court swing with Djokovic back, Nadal back, Alcaraz in form, Medvedev playing great ball. This will be the most exciting clay court swing we have had in quite some time. Buckle up.
