No more pain

Listen Later

No more pain

Saw the news,

heard the screams, so much worse I’m sure than it seems

Men, women,

and children scattered, lying dead, robbed of all their dreams

Centuries have certainly not improved, blood-stained scars so deeply grooved

When will it end? Despite mega ton blasts leveling buildings the needle hasn’t moved

We hate them and they hate us even more, kill innocents to prop up your cause and even the

score

Pound them with artillery, no humanitarian pause, too bad about the civilians, damnit this

is war!

Pray for peace, hope for a better place, plant trees; drop seeds instead of bombs end

the arms race

Heal the planet, save the fishes. Help children void of wishes. Put a smile filled with

hope on their face

Stop killing each other in the name of the Lord, shake hands instead of neighborhoods, join

in one accord

Time to let

go of the anger and  the pains, work together,
and listen while each other explains

Build

tomorrows of inclusion, reason rather than react and let the fires be washed
out by the rains

Rains of peace flowing through the land, no more gunfire in the streets, take your neighbor by

the hand

Prosper under the sun, enjoy the fruits of your God living as one just the way I’m sure He

planned

No more pain
