We say seemingly, however we discuss the systems that have been in place for several years within the FIFA, Madden and NHL games that apply this system to great effect (financially). Aaron and Jordan run through the currently discussed Star Wars Battlefront 2 loot box system, and the other culprit, Middle Earth: Shadow of War’s ranked game mode and loot box system and give their thoughts on the implications that this has for gaming as a whole. Is this a bad omen of things to come from money-hungry publishers, or is it just a phase? Is a boycott of these games a solution to this problem? Is this system acceptable when these games are not “free to play”? All of that and more on that topic on this week’s episode! This weekend the lads went to EB EXPO at the Gold Coast Convention Centre and BOY did they see and do some cool stuff! Aaron and Jordan discuss their trip to this massive event, including the huge amount of games they experienced, the people they met and saw wandering around, and the massive amount of stuff to watch and purchase! With games like Wolfenstein 2, Assassins Creed: Origins, South Park: The Fractured But Whole, Ashes Cricket (HOWZAT!), Mario Odyssey, Middle Earth: Shadow of War, Nino Kuni 2, Gran Turismo Sport, and many more you KNOW that the guys have a lot to talk about. We have some great footage of the gang playing many of these games and just being idiots at what turned out to be an awesome day. It’s the moment of truth! Aaron and Jordan are once again joined by their good mate Scuba to give their final review of Destiny 2! We discuss and score the story, gameplay, sound design, art and graphics, and the replayability of this highly anticipated 2017 MMO FPS. To make sure we give you the most detailed review possible we have postponed gaming news and new release games for next week, so be sure to tune in from the beginning of the show where we discuss this MASSIVE title straight away! While each of us played the game for an average of about 35 hours, we were unable to attempt the Leviathan raid, and this is likely to have changed our scores, so please consider that when listening to the review! This is also just our opinion, however each of us had different feelings on the same game so if you like similar games to any one of us you may find our verdict more suitable to you. Aaron and Jordan are back on their lonesome this week because everyone got sick of them playing games and not showering (it’s not nice to smell that). So instead they did this week’s show on Destiny 2 and the massive hype behind its release! We go through our first impressions after about 10 hours of gameplay, and give some of our notes of the game so far. This isn’t a review, but just our thoughts on the game after the first few days. We will be reviewing in two weeks from now on the show and Scuba will be joining us again for that one!
