Recently, R Scott Clark, host of the Heidelblog, posted an article, "Cases Extraordinary, The Spirituality Of The Church, And The Trans Crisis", 30-Mar-23, which may be found here: https://heidelblog.net/2023/03/cases-extraordinary-the-spirituality-of-the-church-and-the-trans-crisis/ in which the author questions whether the grounds of the overature (which he agrees with), meet the criteria of "cases extraordinary" that the Divines had in mind for transmitting a petition to a commonwealth or civil authority.
