No straight answers from Labor on plan to fund $8.5 billion Medicare pledge

The Albanese Government will spend $8.5 billion across four years to commit to universal bulk-billing, expected to make nine out of 10 GP visits free by 2030.

The Prime Minister has said, "I want every Australian to know they only need their Medicare card, not their credit card, to receive the healthcare they need."

Federal Age Care Minister Anika Wells told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "The Labor Government answer is that we provisioned the vast majority of this money back in the mid-year economic update."
