I was reflecting back on the beginning of my wine journey and in 2011 I wrote my first blog post about pursuing membership with the Wine Century Club. The Wine Century Club is a group of wine aficionados who are interested in spreading knowledge and you know, interest in wine like uncommon, uncommon grape varietals, which is what I do here, on this podcast.

In order to apply for membership, you have to fill out an application and at minimum, you have to taste 100 different grape varietals in order to you know, be a part of the membership. So it takes a lot of time, money, energy, and a lot of wine drinking in order to become a member of this society.

Last year, I reached my goal of filling out and completing my application and I sent it off to them so excited. You know, it feels so good when you reach a goal. However, I never heard back from anyone. So I'm like, let me give them some grace. I reached out again, and crickets I reached out again to their partner company crickets. It literally says on their website, that membership is open to everyone, even the dedicated Merlot drinker.

 So I am just a little baffled and confused about why I have never heard from this organization.
