Beautiful book, accurate text
This is a beautiful book with gentle illustrations based on the Bible account. The book does not mention the world "Bible" but it does mention God and Lord in the narrative. The book is based accurately on the Bible account, and is very nicely illustrated. It is tactfully prepared for children without dwelling on any negative or scary aspects of the story.
The only inaccuracy in the story is the pointed bow and stern of the ark, which the Bible narrative describes as chest shaped. The author embellishes a little on the story, and doesn't mention that Noah was instructed to take in pairs of some animals and seven of others. It is a nice book worth reading to any child.
The story of Noah and the ark is a part of Jewish, Christian and Muslim faith, and the flood story in some form is a part of almost all major world religions.
