Great companion book to the old movie "Inn of 6th Happiness". Love to see movies that are based on true stories.

History Buff

I have watched the movie called "The Inn of the Sixth Happiness" that tells the story of Gladys Aylward and was trying to find a book on her life when I found this one for the kindle. I have just started reading the book but have enjoyed it greatly. I commend Gladys Aylward for not letting other people tell her that she wasn't qualified to follow her dream.

Heard pieces of this story at lunch time on radio station was glad to fill in the gaps and read the rest of the story of this persistent woman. I've passed this one on to my daughter to read.

This is a great book! I read it during a mission study entitled .PERSPECTIVES ON MISSION. At the time I was going on a mission trip to the Amazon River. It helped to know that Miss Aylward had triumphed over a multitude of adversities.

Joseph

I have read several books by Adam Hamilton. This book is wonderful, especially good at Christmas. As an author, he keeps you interested in what you are reading and you can't put the book down. We sometimes forget about Joseph, and the Story of Christmas. We don't hear very much about him. Adam gives us some history of Joseph and his life and some of feelings he may have felt about Jesus life growing up. An excellent book.

video is 4 sermon excerpts, good and enlightening ones, but still just sermons.

the video is unlike some of his more extensively produced videos, as the 4 episodes were excerpts of sermons that he gave using the same material as the book. Our adult class enjoyed the video, and we had good discussion during our advent session. (I did not have the class buy the books). The video pretty much duplicates the text of the book, although the book has more. I would recommend using the book or video, but I think the video is priced high for what it is.

Good for a study group, but lots of info from the book

This went well with the book, however most of what he talks about is also in the book. It's just bits of his videotaped sermons from his church when they did this series. If you have a group that likes a visual though, this would be good. Video's aren't long.

Good Book for Fathers

Interesting study of the life of Joseph. Bought it to use as the basis on an Advent sermon series, but found it better for a study of fatherhood for men.

Good read. Recommended to all.

My faith towards God has become more strong and powerful after reading this book. There were many information in this book about God which were very powerful and untold. I believe in God, however, i don't believe in miracles. But there were true stories in this book which made me confident.

Every sentence in this book touched my heart and motivated me. This book is really great for starting your day with mindfulness. I would like to keep this book in my library so that every Christian can read this book and know the power of God. Great book.

I didn't want to stop reading!

At first, I was skeptical about reading Miracles on Demand, because it seemed like it was just a bunch of Bible verses, but after a few pages, the stories opened up and I realized how I was better prepared to relate the miracles to the verses.

It was such an engaging book, I didn't want to stop reading! Sadie's spiritual messages were very uplifting.

Demand, then hold on!

This book came to me out of the blue and helped me demand miracles! I prayed for things to get better. I started demanding. Just last night I ran into old friends and then got a visit from my son and got to see his nine month old niece. I had the best pre-birthday night. We all played and watched Harmony try to stand by herself. I had the time of my life

This book is fantastic. It keeps the reader engaged. Great for parents and children to read together. Bought some for gifts and now friends have followed suit. Can't wait for the second book. Matt Koceich has done a fantastic job with the first of the IMAGINE series.

Good

Great Biblical Adventure!

Imagine The Great Flood is a juvenile fiction book recommended for ages 8-12 but it certainly held my attention! Being chased by giants, encountering wild animals, and being swirled around in the ocean are some of the adventures that ten year old Corey Max experiences after losing consciousness from a blow to his head and somehow being transported back to the time of The Great Flood and the huge Ark that God instructed Noah to build.

I applaud Matt Koceich for writing a juvenile fiction book that focuses on a well-loved story from the Bible. We adults know that there are many Bible stories filled with love, hate, selfishness and wrong actions but through them all there is the theme of forgiveness and God's love. Retelling them to appeal to young people is an admirable project and I look forward to seeing what other 'monumental Biblical events' this series will feature.

I am giving The Great Flood five stars because it is perfect for the audience that the author hoped to reach. It is a good length for this age group and its 112 pages are filled with mystery, action, adventure and Biblical truths! I will recommend this to my 8 year old great-nephew.

Similar to I Survived Series for Kids

The âI Survivedâ series of books has been incredibly popular in my household, so I was excited to see something similar coming from a Christian publishing house. I found a compelling story that relates to what my family is going through right now and a reminder that we can trust God, whatever we face.

Somehow, while going to get his dog from the woods near a park, Corey finds himself thrust back in time to the days Noah and his family are loading the animals onto the ark. Not only that, there is an epic battle between the forces of good and evil in the moments before the rain begins to fall.

There are a few places where I think perhaps too much embellishment may have been used. One such example is the inclusion of Elizar and the Nephilim attempting to thwart Noah and his family collecting the animals. I could see why the author chose to include itâit provides more intense conflict than just the ridicule that Noah faced over building a boat where it had never before rained.

In other places, however, I thought the author got it exactly right. Coreyâs discussion with Seth about clouds bringing the rain (and the implication that he had never seen them before because it had never rained prior to the flood) is one such instance.
