It’s going to cost just as much as if we went out but rather we get to pick what we’re eating, curate a fun theme and spend time with people who matter most to us, instead of constantly dodging that one creep at the bar.

Brooke Primm has over a decade of event planning expertise, from organizing weddings on the Las Vegas Strip to serving as the Director of Events for a hospitality firm. In 2021, she launched The Uncommon Hostess to offer tailored and personalized events to her clients. Her enthusiasm for hosting and inspiring others led her to the digital space, where she now aims to establish a community of party lovers and dedicated hostesses seeking resources, inspiration, and connections through unique experiences and dinner parties.

Do you have to lead a lot of meetings at work? Or are you included in a lot of meetings at work? Do you always get nervous before because you’re scared to take the lead or do you even feel self conscious when you speak up in front of your co-workers?

You’re not alone. According to peoplemanagement.com, “80% of employees feel anxious about attending online work meetings.” And I’m sure there are similar numbers for in-person meetings cause those can be just as daunting…

Unfortunately, I’ve not found some miraculous cure to rid me of my meeting anxiety and nerves but I have realized a few tricks that make me feel more confident and comfortable when leading and participating in meetings. And I want to share what I’ve learned with you so that you can also run meetings with ease.

If I were to ask, are you familiar with osteopathy? What would be your response? I asked this in a poll on Instagram, 30% of you said it’s changed your life. 20% said y’all are somewhat familiar but want to hear more and then 50% of you said that you didn’t have a clue what it was. And I’m definitely in that last category.

While I’m trying to be more mindful of taking care of my body, I’d say I’m still stuck in the stereotypical mindset that working out and eating properly is the ONLY way to take care of myself. And I'd be wrong!

I had no idea how to navigate, advocating for myself and fully succumb to rest. I’m in my 20s so I really judged myself for needing a break. Who did I think I was to be tired this soon into my career? I’ve got another 30 years at least of working and I’m already giving out!? My advice is by no means the one point of truth, everyone who gets burnt out has a different experience but if you’re going through something similar, my hope is you will feel less alone navigating this uncertain time.
