Nobody’s got to be right

Listen Later

Nobody’s got to be right

Used to hang out together nearly every single day

Weather didn’t matter we found something to play

A couple of kids on bikes, riding with no hands trying hard

to look cool

Lazy summers saw us playing, got them swaying, sunning by

the pool

Long summer days, deeds that could’ve made a sailor blush at

night

Behind those smiles, nobody’s got to be wrong, nobody’s got

to be right

Grown up games away to grown up schools

Switch it up down south a bit, bending the rules

Those Falls boys cause a stir, a trail of tears and a mighty

cloud of smoke

Tell me folks how do you like us now? Hard to sort like two

pigs in a poke

Just when you think you saw it all Paula wheels down the

hall banging everything in sight

Was kind of our motto from the beginning, nobody’s got to be

wrong, nobody’s got to be right

Time went ahead, we went apart; something got lost out on

your grotto

Too far southwest, sun baked sympathy dried out and busted

our motto

Pointing fingers, backing hate, look hard at the evil you

create, do you see yourself

Do you see Wells, do you see Kell’s, you made our memories

living hell! Look on your shelf

I’m sure you kept mementos that your sister put together,

back when we were still tight

On dirt bikes, flipping off the world saying, nobody’s got

to be wrong, nobody’s got to be right

Cause it’s not about that, cross my heart and swear to God

above

It’s all about a couple kids having each other’s back, it’s

all about love…
