Hello all!
Back at it again with Mixtapes at Midnight with my brother, Ethan! In this episode, we each picked our top 10 songs from January - March of 2020. Let me tell you, this was a super difficult decision! But now we cannot wait to do the next one.
Hope you enjoy, and happy listening!
P.S. I'm sure you'll notice the piano music in the background. My mom happened to be practicing downstairs while we were recording, and my mic picked it up! Sorry about that!

First episode of 2020, let's go! I realize that this is March, but life got a bit crazy. Such is life, right?
If this is your first time here, welcome, and thank you for listening!
In this episode, I interview Andy Sydow, a musician & songwriter from Louisville, Colorado. We go from talking about the first instrument Andy ever played, to forming his band and playing shows in the United States and Canada. It was so nice to kick things off again with Andy, because it was so easy and laid back. Truly felt like a conversation rather than an interview.
I hope you enjoy it, and happy listening :)

In this episode, I interview Brandon Lucas, a full time student, who plays in a band The Dead Side, AND happens to write musicals. Need I say more?! I had the most amazing time interviewing Brandon, and I'm sure you will be able to see why about a minute into the episode. I was non stop laughing. Brandon & I chat about everything from how he got into music as a young child, to the art of musical theater, crazy shit you see on tour & using music as a tool for change.
I hope you enjoy, and happy listening.

This is the first of my new monthly episode, Mixtapes at Midnight! In these episodes, my guest & I will create a mixtape of 10 songs each, similar to the format of my first episode. I will play a clip of each track, and then my guest & I talk about why we love it, our favorite lyrics, and more!
For the first Mixtapes at Midnight, I brought back my brother Ethan! As per usual, we had a blast. We came to find that we had some crossover with our artists which is always fun. We also had a wide variety of genres in our mixtapes, so this episodes covers a lot of different types of music!
I hope you enjoy it, and happy listening.

Guys!! My first interview with a stranger! If you can't tell already...I am super pumped about this one.
Up until this interview, I did not know Arthur. I'll admit, I was super nervous because I had never met him before speaking with him and it was my first interview with a person I did not know beforehand...but I had an absolute blast!
In this episode, Arthur & I talk about his experiences as a DJ in Washington DC, the music scene in San Francisco (where he currently lives today), how music shapes experiences in our lives, and the power that a soundtrack has over a TV show or movie.
Hopefully he will want to come back and do another episode, because I feel like our conversation was just getting started! This guy really knows his sh*t, and I want to learn more!
So I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did, and I'll talk to you guys in the next episode.

Get my brother and I talking about music, we just get lost in it all, and simply can't stop! I broke apart my first episode into two parts, so you could take a breather, a bio break, or refill your cup of whatever you got. This episode is the continuation of Ethan and I's Top 15 Songs of 2019 songs from January through April.
I have an embarrassing PSA to make: so, you will hear in this episode that I somehow FORGOT two tracks. I thought that this was because I had some of the same tracks as Ethan's, but after recording, I realized that doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Turns out, I simply just skipped right over my #3 and #4 and went right to my #2 on my list for no apparent reason. Love that.
So, just so you know, my last two tracks were:
"thank u, next" by Ariana Grande
&
"Give a Little" by Maggie Rogers
I mean, wow. Sorry about that colossal brain fart. Next time I won't be as much of a nervous wreck, so I'll have my sh*t together!

EPISODE 1 of Nocturne Noise is finally here!!
Join my brother Ethan and I as we go through our Top 15 Songs of 2019, from January through April. We ended up having to split this episode into two because we love to chat and go into a lot of detail with each track. But fear not, episode 2, the continuation of our top 15 songs, is coming very soon!
If you'd like to check out Ethan and I's playlists in full, they will be posted on my blog (nocturnenoise.com). And if you'd like to listen to them right now and start jamming, Ethan and I have published our playlists on Spotify!

Shout out to Ethan for being such an awesome brother and for always expanding my musical palette! I had so much fun recording this with you. (Also for saving me when my audio levels were all out of wack. Seriously, thank you. I'll get there!)
