Aurora shares her thoughts on the art scene in Malmö, its collegial spirit and self-organization, how it differs from other cities as well as the importance of places open until 2 am.

Having been a fixture in Malmö’s culture scene for over two decades, Felicia shares her story of growing up in a musical household to a career in music & culture event production spanning from Jazz i Malmö, Jeriko, Folkets Park as well as her most recent position as Head of Program and Marketing at Moriska Paviljongen.
We also learn what Bogotá gets right and Stockholm doesn’t, why culture is important in society in general and about some of the exciting events that Moriska Paviljongen are offering this fall.

Simon shares the story of his early interest in playing different instruments that later lead him to an award winning musical career in Nashville, TN. After becoming somewhat disillusioned by the music industry he wanted to pursue something else that would include his hometown Malmö. Slowly but surely the idea of a music festival developed and last year Simon organized the brand new festival by the Sibbarp oceanfront with artists like Florence & The Machine (UK), Röyksopp (NO) & The Libertines (UK), attracting 16.000 visitors.

This is the fourth edition of the international design festival which will host an impressive 150 program activities and 270 participants spread across 70 different locations all over the city of Malmö. You will also learn about how to best plan your visit to SSDD as well as the exhibitions and available resources for people working with or with an interest in design, architecture and crafts that are available year-round at Form/Design Center (celebrating its 60th anniversary in June!) .
Ann also shares her story about how she and her family moved from Zurich after 12 years, how a cup of coffee can set you on a new path in life, and how challenging timing can be when it comes to going on festivals yourself. Enjoy!
