Prior to Sunday's (August 23) tip-off between the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers, Greg Dudek, who is a staff writer for SB Nation's Celtics Blog, joined Matt Noonan for a brand new Noontime Sports Podcast to discuss the team's current postseason run, as well as how the NBA's restart has gone these past few weeks. 

Jen McCaffrey, who covers the Boston Red Sox for The Athletic, joined Matt Noonan for a brand new Noontime Sports Podcast to discuss the current state of professional baseball, including what is happening locally with the local nine.

McCaffrey provided some great insight about the labor debate earlier this year between the players, owners, and Rob Manfred, who is the commissioner of Major League Baseball (MLB). Additionally, she did provide some silver linings for Red Sox Nation. 

Ang Martinez, who is a sports reporter and anchor for WVNYWFFF (Local 22 & Local 44) in Burlington, Vermont, joined Noontime Sports The Podcast to discuss Tuesday's (August 11) announcement during Gov. Phil Scott's press conference about allowing the state's high school student-athletes to return to the playing field this fall, including football, which plans to play 7-on-7 touch football, not the traditional 11-on-11 full-contact game.

Shore discusses how he came up with the idea for the book after covering the league and sports for the past few years, as well as what he learned more about the league and sport. 

The University of Connecticut announced Wednesday, August 5 that they would not be playing football this fall due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. And while many might be shocked by this news, the Huskies are the first FBS team to cancel its 2020 campaign. 

Host Matt Noonan commended the UConn Athletic Department for this decision and hopes other big time college football programs (and high schools, too) will follow this decision so everyone can stay safe and healthy. 

While we anxiously await an announcement from the NCAA regarding the 2020 fall sports championships, Matt Noonan shares some thoughts (and opinions) on a brand new Noontime Mini Podcast about why we must listen to the student-athletes that don't feel safe competing during a pandemic.
