Norderlanders: A Gaming Podcast

Back at it again, this time not been playing alot of games. But the ones we have played we can go deep into and talk about our experiences. Thats how it is when adult life grabs you by the balls...

Nevertheless, there hasn't been a lot on the newsfront either lately but one big thing has happened. So let's talk about Redfall's bad launch and reception and also constructs what Phil Spencer said about the future of Xbox. What are they doing? Do they want to fail? We discuss! Other news are basically just infoirmation news of what Summer Game Fest will bring, new games for Xbox Game Pass and Playstation Plus and more details about Asus Rog Ally. 

Also super excited to finally play Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and hyping up more upcoming games like Project Bloom, Remnant 2 and Cocoon.

Back again... yay?

Well, we a happy we are back and so many games to talk about! Emil is back in time with more Borderlands 2 and Call of Duty. He feels some shame about it. But he has also been a good gamer with two new games! Cult of the Lamb has a lot of potential and can easily be addictive as hell. And he went to one of the forgotten gems, Dark Messiah Might and Magic a game from 2006. Its unattentionally funny with a lot of physics based gameplay. Jens has also been a good gamer with going back to his backlog. Where he has finished Hyper Light Drifter and Owlboy. Good on him! He also got reminded of how good Hollow Knight is. But damn, he has some criticism about the much beloved game. 

On the newsfront, we talk more Indies that got showcased at Nintendo Indie World Showcase. The Microsoft Activision Blizzard acquisition has hit a bump, where the CMA has blocked the deal. Reasoning being, the worries about monopoly in the cloud gaming market. And then we discuss the AI advances and how that will affect the video game industry. Will it help it or just ruin everything? Hope you like two dudes talking about video games, because this episode is full of that! So many games! Borderlands 2 is a masterpiece, and we just got reminded of it. Tails of Iron is a sweet sweet game, that brought Emil to start his Souls journey, Starting with Demon Souls. Jens has had a terrible migraine week where he started to get worried about his health. Luckily is better now and he has played more relaxing games like Uncharted Drake's Fortune, Ni No Kuni and Dragon Quest 8.

On the newsfront, Ark Survival Evolved and Ark 2 had a backlash recently, where it sure was scammy approach.. Playstation 4's DREAMS is ending its live-service support in September. Redfall gives a bad example, releasing only with 30 FPS mode on Xbox Series consoles. And ASUS announces a new Steam Deck competitor. What will it cost? Probably over a 1000 USD.

We also share our excitement for Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, curiousity for Immortals of Aveum, a FPS with no guns, only magic. And Hyper Light Breaker looks super sweet!
