  • Nat Tena

In this episode we talk to our brilliant friend Nat Tena, who you might know better as Nymphadora Tonks.

Nat landed her first film role aged sixteen, when she starred alongside Hugh Grant and Nicholas Hoult in About a Boy. Since then she’s been in many of our favourite films and TV shows, from Game of Thrones to The Mandalorian. When she’s not acting she’s singing and playing the accordion in gypsy ska band Molotov Jukebox.

We find out how smoking round the back of the bike sheds landed Nat her first film role, why she thought Dumbledore was a country and what bad habit has her scaring fellow hotel guests.

In 2020 Nat walked the 720km Camino De Santiago trail with her best friend to raise money for The Orchid Project, an amazing charity that is fighting to put an end to female genital cutting. To support the charity and find out more go to theorchidproject.org

    Nat’s ‘3am Questions’:

Favourite book - The House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende

Favourite song - The Tracks of My Tears by Smokey Robinson

    Favourite film - Strictly Ballroom

Karamo is the culture expert on the Netflix show Queer Eye, and helps guests tackle emotional issues that have been holding them back, while his co-hosts Bobby, Tan, Jonathan and Antoni make-over the guests’ homes, style and culinary skills.

Karamo has a background in social work and moved into the spotlight in 2004 when he took part in MTV reality show The Real World: Philadelphia, becoming the first openly gay black man to be cast on a reality show.

We find out how Karamo’s bad school behaviour made him who he is today, why he wants to redefine the term ‘coming out’ and what made him face his fears and stop drawing in his hairline.

We know it can be difficult to be open about your sexuality when your community isn’t accepting of your LGBTQIA+ identity. If you need support, reach out.

  • Matt Hampson

In this episode we talk to former rugby player and charity founder Matt Hampson.

At 21, Matt was a rising rugby star with a glittering future ahead of him. All that changed in March 2005 when a catastrophic training accident ended his career and turned his life upside down.

Now paralysed from the neck down, Matt has to use a ventilator twenty four hours a day, but he doesn't let that stop him living his best life.

We chat to Matt about the accident, learn what made him a 'nightmare child' and find out how Matt pulls the sympathy card to get the last chocolate bar.

In 2011 Matt founded the Matt Hampson Foundation, a charity which gives life-changing support to those with debilitating disabilities. In 2018 the charity opened the Get Busy Living Centre, a rehabilitation clinic where people can access physiotherapy and connect with others who have similar stories.

  • Paula DuPré Pesmen

In this episode we talk to our friend (and ex-boss) Paula DuPré Pesmen. As Associate Producer on the Harry Potter films Paula watched us grow up over the years and has plenty of behind-the-scenes tea to spill.

We reminisce about our first terrifying meeting, hear about a surprise Paul McCartney meeting at Abbey Road Studios and find out why we’ll always be ‘kids’ in Paula’s eyes.

During the filming of the Potter films, Paula’s world was turned upside down by family illness. It was this that inspired her to start the incredible charity There With Care, which supports families coping with critical illness.

Paula also supports The Liv Project, which is working to turn the tide on youth suicide. In this episode we play ‘The Game That Goes There’, a game developed by the project to encourage deeper conversations. To get your copy and support the charity, go to shopthelivproject.com
