How to Find Rest in God. Using the Exodus Generation as an example of those who were not resting in God’s promises, the writer of Hebrews goes on in chapter 4 to make the application personal, both to the Hebrew Christians and to us. Hebrews was written to a group of first century Christians who were in danger of giving up. As Christianity began to spread, so did persecution. It's the word "Immanuel" meaning that God is with us, which in God’s love language meaning that He’s for us, He desires to be around us.

Is it possible or just idealistic to have the Christmas spirit throughout the year?
