By teaching us to love our enemies, Jesus seems to take the idea of loving our neighbor a bit far. However, He doesn't stop there. He even says that if someone (presumably a Roman soldier) asks you to go one mile (the bare minimum a Roman solider could conscript you for), to go two. We all have difficult people in our lives. The question is: how do we, as followers of Jesus, live out this teaching and why is it so important to Jesus that we get this?
