The Bible is direct in its relevance to every person of every age. A message about what the Bible says to single people was requested. The Bible has some guidelines for how one can serve the Lord while they are single.
The NT church was a reaching church. They would reach UP toward God, and reach IN to each other. There was a communion (the sharing or exchanging of intimate thoughts and feelings) among them. This refers to their fellowship, their unity. Their sharing of possessions was really linked to their sharing in other aspects. They were willing to give to each other because of the One Who had given to them!
