Unity was never meant to be uniformity.

What if the church's preoccupation with saving itself is the very thing that is hastening its demise?  What if the Spirit is calling is to stop saving ourselves so we can join God in saving the world?

Everything about God, stories, Bible verses, opinions, every understanding we have about God must be filtered through the lens of Jesus.

Are we ready to admit that Christianity is not built on a system of belief so that we can dedicate ourselves to an unwavering, unflinching commitment to all-inclusive love?

There are 3 voices vying for our attention...one saying, "Stop! You've gone far enough."  Another saying, "Go back you've gone to far!"  And the Spirit saying, "keep going, push on, push forward."

What if churches were more interested in making a difference instead of making statements?

Sometimes we sing because we know it's true...other times we need the person beside us to sing it for us because we cannot even utter the words...

It's what we all have in common...it's what we all long for.

Sometimes it's the people the world least expects that becomes the heroes it so desperately needs.

With great power comes great responsibility.
