Looking to Colossians 3, we see the importance of dying to self.

Your identity is found in Jesus and nothing else. Your identity is not found in what you do or do not do. You are invited into Christ's presence, and nothing that is true is keeping you from being there.

Jesus is really important.

In Colossians 1, Paul says he rejoices in his suffering. But why? And how? One of the primary ways God has provided is community. This is the calling of the church - the enter into the pain of others, to suffer with them and even instead of them.

Colossians 1:15-23 is a powerful and important passage of Scripture because it establishes the supremacy of Jesus. We see that Jesus is supreme - because he is God.

In Colossians 1 we see the passion Paul has for his people. We see the prayers he has for them, and we see what God offers to us in the gospel.

In Colossians we see that Christ is Lord, and He is the head. He is central to all, and our full reliance is on Him.

Like many other Psalms, Psalm 103 is a chance to behold our God and his attributes. It is a celebration of his providence and the promises he has kept with his people.

How do we discern the will of God? Psalm 25 helps us see the prerequisites to God's leading, and the promises to those who wait on and follow God's leading.

What does it mean to be blessed? The Lord longs for us to trust him, as Psalm 84:12 says, "O LORD of hosts, blessed is the one who trusts in you!"
