During this season we hear a lot about the Christmas spirit. But what is that? What does it mean? We explore that and what it has to do with the incarnation - that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, became man.

The story of the Bible has three parts - creating, fall and redemption. And when Jesus came to the earth, he came and died as the final payment for sin. So we celebrate with John 1:29, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!"

Martin Lloyd Jones said, "What God did when he sent his son into the world is an absolute guarantee that he will do everything he has ever promised he would do." God fulfills all his promises, and this gives us hope - even in a broken world.

Confession is good for the soul. And there is no greater confession than Psalm 92 - "It is good to give thanks to the Lord ... for you, o Lord, have made me glad by your work."

God cares for us, and he calls us to lay down our worry and anxiety. While there is a very real enemy to us that exists to devour us, God has given us faith as a tool to resist the enemy.

We all know by now that suffering is an unavoidable part of life. But how should we suffer? And what is the point? These are important questions, because the rest of the world is watching.

1 Peter 4:7 says, "the end of all things is at hand." But "the end" is not a single point in history - it is the final stage in God's redemptive plan for the world. So while God has freely given his grace to us, he has also...
