Around 6pm Monday evening officers were called to a home in Hugo for a 911 open line. Upon arrival they found a woman badly injured who later died. The male suspect fled leading to a large manhunt lasting about 17 hours.
Washington county has decided they no longer care about transparency as they have fully encrypted their law enforcement communications. Before too long as encryption marches on pages like this will be a thing of the past. Around 3:30 this afternoon a vehicle traveling on Highway 61 at 202nd street in Forest Lake hit two pedestrians crossing Highway 61. The pedestrians were air lifted. Shortly after there was a semi roll-over in the roundabout about a mile to the north to tax resources further.
