Key Scripture: Matthew 7:13-27
Main Idea: There is no (ultimately) neutral response to Jesus's teaching. There are two ways, one leading to destruction, the other leading to life. The way of life is not what comes most naturally. Beware of those who would lead you away from the true word of Jesus. Don't assume you're on the way of life because of the "great things" you do for the Lord. The difference between life and death comes down to how you respond to Jesus and his teaching.

Main Idea: To view our actions covenantally, that is, as those in fellowship with God and in fellowship with others. We will explore the inner connection between our relation to God and our relation to one another. As you judge, you will also be judged. As you give to those who ask, much more will your Father give to you when you ask. This is to be reflected in our relationships with others: what we desire that others do to us, we are also to do to them. Moral action is not viewed abstractly but covenantally, and therefore in love.
