You may want a repeatable routine in our walk with Jesus. But the problem is that sometimes our repeatable routine can take the place of a real relationship!

If you are struggling with something — if it is relational, emotional, physical, financial, whatever it is. — keep struggling. Strength is found in the struggle, and YOU are not fragile!

When it comes to our relationship with God, and our worship of Jesus — when it comes to our practices and activities and disciplines and attempts to honor the Lord — we will from time to time mix in a shot of tradition, or maybe even sometimes a double shot with our Gospel Commands. There is nothing necessarily wrong with traditions, but if we aren’t careful and we aren’t paying attention, those traditions can spoil.

We will never rightly think about people until we begin to understand what God thinks about people.
