Jesus came to the manger so that he could get to the cross. He came to earth so that he could take away our sins forever and ever. He died in our place, he rose back to life so that we don’t die the death that sin requires and we get to live with him in Heaven forever.

We are doing more, achieving more — gaining the whole world. But is it at the cost of our souls? The soul of our marriages and the soul of our families. If we aren’t careful our effort to live a life of value will cost us what is most valuable.

Our culture has become so obsessed with validation. We need to feel special, we need to feel important, we need to feel like we belong at the head table, we need that blue check. You don’t need a blue check when you have a Wondrous Cross. It is not in the blue check but that wondrous cross that is where you will find your purpose… and your identity… that is where you will find your value and your validation.

We believe in Success… we measure Success… we pursue Success. But what if our attempts to redeem Grinchy behavior in the pursuit of success is actually leading us away from Jesus?

Jesus is the bridegroom and the bride is his church. We as the church are preparing ourselves for the return of Christ. The bridegroom is coming but now we are waiting and waiting can be hard. But there is going to be a wedding.

As a believer, you have to understand who the enemy is and how your enemy operates. We cannot run scared and we can’t be stupid either. Put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. We must be a people who learn to and are willing to Stand Firm.

The Lordship of Jesus is the critical piece to a healthy relationship and effective Leadership. In marriage, the Lordship of Jesus must be in the center. In the Home, the Lordship of Jesus must be at the center. Especially in relationships that are hard. You will not survive without the Lordship of Jesus at the very center.

Jesus is the light of the world and when that light becomes part of our lives, it changes the way we live! It changes our attitude, our thoughts, our behaviors. It changes our walk! Walk in love, in light, and in wisdom.
