As Jesus entered Jericho, His One becomes evident. Zacchaeus was seeking Jesus, but what he did not realize is that Jesus was seeking him. It was an exciting day for Zacchaeus as he became a follower of Jesus.
The story today is about a crippled man named Mephibosheth. This is a story about friendship, promises, grace, love, compassion, forgiveness, and hope. Most of all it is a story about God’s seeking the wounded and crippled for restoration.
A believer who does not seek to perform the mission of the church never truly understands what they possess in Christ. There are people all around us every day that need spiritual awakening. This is the mission of the church - that we share Christ with those that need Him and don’t know Him.
People need assurance that their sins are forgiven and they are going to Heaven when they die. God does not want you to think so, guess so, hope so, or wait and see so. John says “I have written to you, so that you may know that you have eternal life!” You can be sure.
Most Christian workers struggle with evangelism and so rarely do it. We spend most of our time with Christians and minister to each other as evidence of our faith. Misconceptions concerning what evangelism is and our personal responsibility to share inhibits God’s use of our lives to take the gospel to the world.

A living faith must experience a growing understanding of truth and must be continually interpreted and related to the needs of each new generation. The closer a church is in doctrine, the closer they are in fellowship and mission. We reaffirm our beliefs!
