Residents in the Glencar Valley has launched a petition calling for Devil's Chimney waterfall at Glencar to have its traditional Irish name restored - Sruth in Aghaidh an Airde. One of the residents Seosamh MacSuibhne, believes the name should not have been changed when a walking trail was developed in 2015

Former Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has come under fire for his comments suggesting that there is a perception in rural Ireland that those living there are the real workers and the ones paying all the bills of the country.
