With several ram and ewe sales coming up across the Northern Ag country, sheep producers are studying the sale catalogs to find their best options for a new crop. That studying includes the estimated breeding values (EBV's) to know how the rams and ewes will likely preform on the ranch.
In this podcast, we focus on producer and professor's perspectives within the EBV realm, including Chris Schauer of Schauer Sheep Company in Hettinger, ND and MSU Assistant Professor in Sheep Production Dr. Christian Posbergh.
We also hear from Wyoming Wool Growers Association Executive Director Alison Crane and Montana Wool Growers Association Executive Secretary Leah Johnson on their sales coming up in mid September.
