Firstly I am back in Wisconsin to see the Northern Lights again. Listen for details in Northern-Lights-Again-Bob Davis Podcast 1093.

Secondly a whirlwind 4 day trip from Quartzsite brought me here.

Above all we nomads are often called away.

And we have to make a quick cross country trip.

For example I covered 7 states in roughly 4 days to help with a family emergency.

That is to say this is part of the normal experience of committing to life on the road.

Certainly I am grateful to be able to make the trip.

But I went from the desert heat to the still snow covered fields in rural Western Wisconsin.

Therefore I am reformulating spring and summer travel plans.

Meanwhile I plan to be here in the Dairy State at least until midsummer.

And looking forward to it!

Likewise I am struck by the transitory nature of life in general.

Even more a death in the family brings these thoughts to the top of mind.

Moreover it’s time to tie up some loose ends in Northern-Lights-Again-Bob Davis Podcast 1093.

For example one of the reasons I was sitting so long in the desert had to do with the price of fuel and inflation.

Did at least two podcasts in a series discussing higher prices. A good example of this series is here.

In addition as prices head lower it’s also time to re evaluate the pace of travel.

And likewise to discuss how quickly deep bonds are formed in our nomad community.

I will certainly miss the campfires for the time being.

And sitting around poking fun at each other.

Finally this was a great winter of camping in the desert.

Especially meeting and getting to know new people.

On the other hand I look forward to some fun summer travel this year.
