Have you ever had to suffer the consequences

of someone else's bad decision? Have you tried to warn someone just to see them turn a deaf ear? Perhaps you can understand a little of what the prophet Jeremiah felt as he lamented the fulfillment of the prophecies that he spoke to people of hardened hearts.

Paul begins to wrap up his letter with calling these people his joy and his crown. What does he mean by this? What crown are we racing toward?

Paul realizes his circumstances are being used for the furtherance of the Gospel. Even through imprisonment, in every way, Christ is proclaimed. By life or death, Christ is magnified. Rejoice!

As we begin the study of the letter to the church at Philippi, we will delve into the founding of the church in the book of Acts.

We live n a world that at times seems terribly lonely. Many in this world believe they are fatherless. Statistics tell us of the rise of fatherless families. But God said He is a father to the fatherless. I believe God not only wants to be the Father but he also wants men of God to step forward and model the role of fatherhood to those around them.

Paul wants to encourage this group of believers in Colossae of their need and ability to live a holy life that is well pleasing to the Lord. At times we feel that holiness is too difficult, but Paul equates it with exchanging your nature much like you would change your garments.

Paul wrote to the church at Colossae to encourage and exhort them as a body of believers. We can use this same encouragement and exhortation today.

All Scripture is God Breathed. The Word of God is living and active. It will change you and it will change your life.

While everyone has an impact on society; some impact those around them, others regionally or nationally, but we never know if God will choose us to have an impact so profound it changes the world.
