Most of us have heard or read the Bible and are familiar with the story of Jesus. But what if everything we have heard or believed about Jesus is wrong? What if your faith in Jesus is falling apart? What if instead of faith, you find yourself in despair? That’s what we’ll explore as we look at Jesus’ first disciples in the days after His death.
We are currently experiencing the largest religious shift in American history as more than 40 million people have stopped attending church. Many people who once called themselves followers of Jesus have turned away. But this is not new. In this message, we’ll look at the story of Jesus' friend Judas, who not only turned away from Jesus, but betrayed Him. What happened to Judas, and what will keep us from turning away?
Everyone loves a front-row seat—especially when it comes to witnessing something life-changing. This Sunday, we’ll step into the life of John, the disciple whom Jesus loved, and explore his unique, intimate relationship with Christ. From his unwavering closeness to Jesus, to his faithfulness at the cross, to being the first disciple to believe in the resurrection, John’s story challenges us to live with confidence in Jesus’ love. Join us as we discover what it truly means to be the disciple whom Jesus loves!
Christianity rises and falls on the truth of the resurrection. If Jesus didn’t rise from the dead, Christianity is false. But how can a reasonable, sane, human being actually believe someone rose from the dead? Dead people don’t come back to life, right? How are we to believe that Jesus really rose from the dead, unless He reveals Himself to us? That’s what we’ll explore as we look at the resurrection through the eyes of Thomas.
Many of us have had moments in life where God met us in our pain and our faith in God was born. But what if it’s been a long time since that moment? What if your faith in God has started to waver? What if God doesn’t feel real anymore? That’s what we’ll explore as we look at the life of Mary Magdalene, the first to see the resurrected Jesus.
In a world that constantly tells us “more is better,” what if true peace and contentment come from having less? In this sermon, we’ll explore what the Bible teaches about godliness, contentment, and the dangers of chasing wealth. Through the wisdom of Solomon, Paul’s words to Timothy, and Jesus’ challenge to the rich young ruler, we’ll uncover how simplifying our lives can lead to greater joy, generosity, and spiritual freedom.
Join us as we dive into 1 Timothy 6:6 and discover practical steps to clear out, cut back, and count our blessings—so we can experience the true gain that comes from trusting in God’s provision. Come ready to be challenged and encouraged!
Generosity. It’s something we all admire, but if we’re honest, it’s not always easy. We know the joy of giving, but there’s always that nagging question: What about my needs? What if I give and I don’t have enough left? How do I balance generosity with financial responsibility? We want to be generous, but the fear of lack keeps us holding on. This week, we’ll discover what it means to be truly generous, and how God’s promise of provision frees us to give without fear. Can you trust Him enough to live generously? Let’s find out together.
The majority of Americans are spending more money than they are making. It is one thing to know how much money we are making and where our money is going, it is another thing to control our spending. In this message we’ll explore God’s Word as we learn how to spend and manage our money in a way that brings us financial freedom.
