The first church was the original Jesus People Movement, known for acting in Jesus name, preaching Jesus, and just generally “having been with Jesus”.

If the first church, planted by Jesus Himself, is the prototype for church plants, then the

way they received their members should become the pattern for church membership at NorthRidge.

We can expect that when we take these steps of faith together we will experience similar results: God

will add to our church every day those who are being saved.

As we continue to form our new church, NorthRidge would be wise to follow the pattern of the prototype planted by Jesus and officially launched on the Day of Pentecost! Some "whys" we need to understand early on include "Why the Holy Spirit?", "Why Pentecost?", and "Why speak in tongues?"

Too often the church is slow to offer what Jesus has already provided. Christ's death and resurrection ensures that we always have a second chance to repent, to be restored, and to recommit our lives to Him.
